How it works

Each plan2BFIT group consists of up to 5-10 teammates. Each group is coed, and will meet twice a month for 6 months. Each session is about 2 hours. Your first session consists of an initial weigh-in, teammate introduction and a personalized fitness and calorie assessment. To assist you, you will be given a Welcome-Kit of necessary tools: the plan2BFIT workshop manual,  water bottle, online work out sessions, weekly 7 day meal planner, monthly cooking demos,  membership in the walk2BFIT club.

Each session thereafter will consist of a weigh-in, a review of the previous week’s session and introduction of new topic. After each meeting, an email will be sent with a recap of what was discussed along with a weekly challenge.

What you learn being in a group:

  • How to establish behaviors that lead to successful weight loss.
  • How to challenge and redirect negative thinking patterns that act as barriers to weight loss.
  • How to structure daily exercise into your routine.
  • How to eat the right amount of food and calories necessary to meet your weight loss and long-term weight management goals.
  • How to implement various tools necessary to lose weight and to maintain it.
  • How to effectively plan meals and learn shortcuts to calorie counting.

Group Details:

  • Meet as a group twice a month via zoom. Successful weight loss tips and tools presented through the workbook.  Discussion of personal success and challenges with group members.  (Total 12 meetings – 2 hours each)
  • Small group accountability. Meet new friends which makes sure everyone stays motivated during the workshop.  (Max 12 people)
  • Weekly email recaps, challenges, and exercise links sent to help stay track with weight loss goals.
  • Personalized exercise and calorie daily goals.
  • Celebrate accomplishments with 3-month progress reports
  • Bi-weekly online workouts led by online trainers. New focus each week such as strength, cardio, and flexibility. Variety makes exercise more fun, and helps people lose weight quicker. (30 minute each)
  • Membership in the SD Walking Club, led by the weight loss coach. (San Diego participants only) Minimum 8 walks a month. Great way to meet other plan2BFIT members.
  • 7-day meal planner e-mailed each week for easy meal preparation. Prepare twice a week, easy access to quick and healthy meals.
  • Bi-monthly live cooking classes. Cooking tips and healthy recipes demonstrated to encourage participants to cook at home. 
  • Water bottle, electronic workbook, flashlight, hand sanitizer, and mask provided. Our gifts for committing to the workshop.

        Participant Requirements:

        • Age 21 and older.
        • Between 20 – 50 Pounds Overweight.
        • Non-Smoker.
        • Team member should be cleared for performing physical activity by physician (optional).
        • Maintain contact with the group coaches throughout the workshop.
        • Able to perform simple exercises.
        • Participate in EVERY session with a good attitude, and a willingness to learn and change.
